About Huy Nguyen Trieu

Huy Nguyen Trieu focuses on how AI is reshaping how value is created, how decisions are made, and how systems operate, and what this means for individuals, organisations, and institutions.

He is Co-Founder of CFTE, a global capability platform reaching over 200,000 participants across 130 countries, and works with governments, central banks, financial institutions, and organisations on AI capability, workforce transformation, and strategic readiness.

Most discussions about AI focus on tools and use cases. His work focuses on how AI reshapes systems, capability, and decision-making.

Why this site exists

AI-fication.org is where Huy publishes the concepts, frameworks, and thoughts he uses to make sense of AI-driven transformation.

The site brings together ideas about how AI is changing how value is created, how decisions are made, and how systems operate - as well as what individuals, organisations, and institutions need to become capable of in response.

Some of these ideas build on earlier work analysing major technology shifts. Huy was among the first to document and contribute to the development of fintech as a field, helping leaders understand how digital transformation was reshaping financial services.

More recently, his work has focused on AI. Through The AI-fication of Jobs and subsequent research, he analysed in depth how AI affects jobs, capability, and the distribution of outcomes in the workforce. These ideas have been read and used at senior levels, including within governments and public institutions.

What shapes this perspective

Huy's perspective comes from working across several worlds that are often treated separately.

He has worked inside large institutions, including as a Managing Director at Citi. He has worked closely with startups and fast-growing technology ventures as Founding Partner of Supercharger, Asia's largest fintech accelerator. He has also spent years building education and capability systems through CFTE and collaborating with universities and institutions including Oxford, Hong Kong University, and Imperial College.

This combination allows him to analyse AI not only as a technology, but as a force that reshapes business models, leadership, talent systems, and institutional competitiveness.

Over time, this has led to the development of a set of frameworks - including the CDE Innovation Prism, the Performance Hexagon, the AI Capability Engine, and SHIME - designed to help leaders move from fragmented experimentation to structured transformation.

Many organisations still approach AI as a tool adoption problem. In practice, it is a capability and systems problem.
